The Social Mobility Podcast on Creating New Ways to Increase Opportunities for Young People in the Country

At MTL we are passionate about young people and we are constantly exploring new ways to raise the aspirations of, and increase opportunities for, young people in the UK.

Which is why in June of 2019, we launched The Social Mobility Podcast. The podcast centres around conversations between our Founder and CEO, Tunde Banjoko OBE, and senior people in business, some of whom are the UK’s leading equality advocates, on the many areas of diversity and inclusion that need improving in the country.

Our Founder & CEO Tunde Banjoko with Laura Hinton, Head of People at PwC (Professional Services).

From law, to professional services and even the arts, the podcast encompasses political, creative, and commercial visions of how to change society for the better. The guest share their stories, how social mobility has impacted them, and what they are doing to continue working towards a future where there is better access to opportunities in the workforce.

In the latest episode you’ll find Dr Louise Ashley, a senior lecturer in organisation studies at University of Royal Holloway, discuss her own background and experience at Cambridge University that led her to her career at present, and what she ultimately believes can help tackle the challenges that social mobility faces.

Tunde Banjoko with Jon Cruddas, MP for Dagenham, Rainham, South Hornchurch and Elm Park.

You can check out more fantastic episodes here.

The Social Mobility Podcast is available on Itunes, Spotify, Overcast, Castbox and many more platforms.
